The variety of opportunities for volunteer involvement at EISA will allow you to choose flexible or scheduled volunteer assignments, and to make a long-term or short-term commitment.
Our Volunteer Opportunities
Here are the current volunteer opportunities at EISA:
- New Neighbors – Friends helping friends settle in Edmonton
- Offering official Translation and Interpretation services
- Become a Volunteer Board Member – 2 hours per month
- Help with ESL and office administration
- Offer academic and social support for immigrant children and youth
- Help in fundraising activities
- Income Tax Volunteers

The New Neighbours Program at EISA helps new immigrants and refugees adjust to life in Canada, learn about our values, traditions, community resources, recreational opportunities, language training, job search resources. With the assistance and understanding of volunteers, the New Neighbours Program makes a new country feel like home for newcomers.
