In each of those situations, you are a tenant (or becoming a tenant), and there are laws that you need to know. These laws govern the relationship between you and your landlord. This website provides that information.

Canadian Housing and Renewal Association (CHRA)

CHRA is a national non-profit organization that promotes access to adequate, affordable housing for low-income and modest-income households, and seeks to heighten awareness of affordable housing issues through research, advocacy, networking and communications.

University of Alberta Department of Dentistry: A teaching clinic where treatment is done by students. The students are supervised by qualified practitioners. It is a low cost dental care option.
